Monas
Monument or National Monument is an icon of the city. Monument was established in 1959 and inaugurated two years later in 1961. Monas is always crowded with tourists to see the beauty of the city from the top of the monument, adding insight into the history of Indonesia in the diorama room or enjoy the fresh urban forest area of approximately 80 acres in downtown Jakarta.

History Monument was built in August 1959. The entire building was designed by the architects Monas Indonesia is Soedarsono, Frederich Silaban and Ir. Rooseno. On August 17, 1961, the monument was inaugurated by President Soekarno. And opened to the public since July 12, 1975.

While the urban forest park area around the monument formerly known as Field Gambir. Then had changed its name several times into the Field Ikada, Merdeka Square, National Monument Square and then into Monument Park.Size and Content Monas132-meter-high monument was built and shaped yoni phallus. The entire building is covered by marble.

National Museum
National Museum of Indonesia is also recognized as Elephant Museum. It’s called as Elephant Museum because there’s an elephant sculpture made of bronze medal at the front park of the museum. The sculpture was a grant from King Chulalongkorn (Rama V) of Thailand who visited the museum in 1871. Around the sculpture there are cannons which position are facing the National Monument (monas)

The founding of National Museum of Indonesia initiated by the founding of Bataviaasch Genootschap van Kunsten en Wetenschappen association. The association was founded by the government of Holland colony on 24th April 1978. The increase of collections had caused Holland government built Museum in 1862 at the location where the current National Museum of Indonesia stands and it was open officially in 1868. Later on the Museum became National Museum of Indonesia.

Sunda Kelapa Port
Sunda Kelapa, better known as Pasar Ikan (meaning fish market) is located at the mouth of the Ciliwung River. The fish catch of the day was auctioned in the early morning at the old fish market. The street leading to it was lined with shops selling all sorts of shells, dehydrated turtles, lobsters and mostly everything the seafarer might need. This 500-year-old harbor area was a vital link to markets of the outside world for the 15th century kingdom of Pajajaran. It was formerly the harbor town of Sunda Kelapa where the Portuguese traded with the Hindu Kingdom of Pajajaran in the early 16th century. Since than this port has belonged to the portuguese and Dutch.

Old Town Batavia
Old Town of Jakarta covers a tiny area in the capital city of Indonesia, Jakarta. The special heritage only including a 1,3 square kilometer area crossing North Jakarta and West Jakarta (Pinangsia, Taman Sari, and Roa Malaka). Besides often called Old Batavia, in the 16th century, it called Asia Jewel and Queen of the East by Europe sailor. Old Jakarta deemed as the trading central of Asia continent in that time due to the strategic location and the lavish natural resources.

The heritage of Jakarta history contains a lot interesting channel to visit like Jakarta History Museum, Bank Indonesia Museum, Jakarta Cathedral, Sion Church, Angke Mosque, Merah Shop, and Luar Batang Mosque.
